We urge you to contact both your provincial and federal representatives to tell them you care about congenital heart defect (CHD) patients. Let them know that you are concerned that the care of adults with CHD is in jeopardy due to a shortage of specialists trained in adult CHD, unacceptably long waiting times for surgery and other interventions, and a lack of awareness and funding.

Tell them that we need incentives to attract doctors to specialize in adult CHD, and depend on the support of hospital budget-makers, government, Heart & Stroke Foundation, and others who can make a difference to this growing but underserved population.

Please do what you can to help us live long, healthy lives.
